That’s why our Online Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program gives students the freedom to tailor their curriculum to their interests, skills and academic strengths.

Our curriculum provides a foundation in computer science while also offering a strong liberal arts education with courses from the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and foreign languages.

What are the criteria for competitive transfer applicants?

Lower Division Applicants

Applicants with between 12 and 59 hours of transferrable college credit

Lower division applicants are required to have completed MAC 2311 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus 1) with a grade of B or better.


Upper Division Applicants

Applicants with 60 or more hours of transferrable college credit

The transfer admissions process is competitive, prepare your applications carefully and be attentive to your grades. To be considered for admission to the online program, you should have completed the courses from the following list:

Required:

  • MAC 2311 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus 1)
  • MAC 2312 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus 2)
  • MAC 2313 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus 3)
  • PHY 2053 (Physics 1) or 2048 (Physics with Calculus 1) w/ lab

Students are also strongly encouraged to complete PHY 2054 (Physics 2) w/ lab or PHY 2049 (Physics with Calculus 2) w/ lab and a course in Java Programming. You should have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA and a minimum 2.5 GPA on all attempts of these courses listed above to be competitive.
