UF Online hosts a variety of activities to engage and connect with online students, including annual events on the UF campus, virtual events in the Plaza, and UF Online and PaCE students are active within their student communities as well. Additionally, through Gator Clubs around the world you can interact with the Gator Nation. Online does not mean solitary!

UF is here for online students in so many ways. One message, email, or phone call is all it takes to register for classes, talk through finance questions, or connect with a student resource. The fee package gives you access to a wide variety of student activities like the fitness center, the student health care center, student prices for athletic events, and transportation around Gainesville.

More Ways to Enhance Your Experience
As a UF Online student, you can take your education beyond academics and far outside the online classroom.
Student Organizations
Want to socialize with your fellow Gators online or in person? Then join or start your own club. UF has more than 1,000 student organizations. Whether it is dance, culture or politics — there is probably a student club formed around your interest.
Sports
The Gator Nation is well-known for the success of its sports teams. From football and basketball to gymnastics and baseball, the Gators are often the team to beat. UF Online students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in athletic events no matter where they live. You are eligible to sit in student sections for any event (note to get student ticket pricing you need to opt into the Optional Fee Package). Outside of Gainesville you can attend viewing parties, tailgates and other activities hosted by your local Gator Club.

Center for Undergraduate Research
Interested in research? The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) offers UF Online students sponsored opportunities to partner with faculty on research projects – receive mentoring and grow your research skills while you explore a fascinating topic or discover a new solution to a complex challenge. Participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium from wherever you are!
Experiential Learning Options
From internships and employment to service-learning and study abroad, you can go far beyond the classroom while learning as a UF Online student. The Career Connections Center showcases your options in the Experiential Learning Student Guide and can help you connect with opportunities to go further in your development.
UF Libraries
As a Research I level institution, UF students have access to a vast array of information. The UF Libraries contain the most comprehensive knowledge resource system in the state of Florida and crosses all disciplines in every format — with a large portion of materials available online. Additionally, there is an experienced and knowledgeable staff of librarians and researchers who specialize by college/major that are available to assist and guide you in taking advantage of this expansive resource.
Gator Clubs
The Gator Nation is everywhere, with more than 400,000 alumni and 100 Gator Clubs around the world. Online students get a special membership rate and can enjoy a variety of club activities. From networking events to football and basketball viewing parties, Gator Clubs provide opportunities for socializing, networking and fun.
