Upper Division Transfers

UF Online attracts students at various points of their academic journey.

UF Online offers a robust academic experience for those joining the Gator Nation online.

Admissions requirements are based off the number of transferable college credits you will have earned prior to your intended first term in our program. More information about transfer credit can be found here.

UF Online welcomes applicants who have started their college education but have not completed their degree. Prospective students who have earned 60 or more college credits after high school graduation, including Associate of Arts (AA) degree holders, are upper division transfer applicants.

If you currently have or are in the process of obtaining an Associates of Science (AS) or an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degrees, any courses that are remedial, technical, vocational or doctrinal in nature are not transferable to an undergraduate degree. Please visit our Transfer Credit page for additional information.

Dual Enrollment: Students receiving their high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) from a Florida College System (FCS) or State University (SUS) institution at the same time should complete the freshman application. If we are unable to offer you admission at the freshman level, you will be provided with the opportunity to have your application reconsidered as an upper-division transfer. Students admitted via transfer admission may have their offer of admission rescinded if they do not complete the required prerequisites and A.A. degree prior to enrollment. Note: Students who opt-in to be considered as an upper-division transfer student will not be required to submit official SAT, ACT or CLT scores.

Florida AA Transfers: Students who will have earned an Associate of Arts (A.A) degree from a Florida public college prior to enrolling in UF Online are eligible for Finish@UF program. Learn more here.
