UF Online Academic Advisors

Same degree. Same faculty. Specialized advising.

The professional academic advisors who guide and nurture UF Online and PaCE students towards their goals are the cornerstone of student success in all of our programs. As active members of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), these dedicated individuals enact evidence-based best practices for student development, persistence, and ultimately success, across all UF Online programs in more than a dozen UF colleges.

In 2024, UF Online is proud to report a student to advisor ratio of approximately 165 to 1 across all programs, enabling our advisors to offer in-depth and personalized support to each and every student.

UF Online Advising Circle

Academic advisors working with UF Online and PaCE students are supported by a community of practice of peers numbering more than thirty professionals across over a dozen UF colleges in 2024. The UF Online team assists in facilitating and nurturing the UF Online Advising Circle in collaboration with you, our deeply valued advisors.

Any UF academic advisor who supports UF Online or PaCE students should participate in regular meetings as well as the private Teams channel for this community within the UF Online Forum.

Guidance and Resources for Advisors

UF Online is your go-to team for student- and program-related support; it is critical that we are aware of what is happening with UF Online and PaCE students, course enrollments, advising challenges, and more.

Connecting with UF Online

The Advising Circle Teams channel can be found within the UF Online Forum and contains information and supports shared privately with this community. Advisors should participate in regular meetings to share information with each other and with UF Online, and to receive updates in all directions.

Key resources in the Advising Circle channel:

  • Marketing and Operational (data) request forms that connect directly to UF Online staff,
  • Access to Professional Development funding requests,
  • UF Online’s Keep Chompin’ Fund eligibility criteria and application for students experiencing hardship,
  • Meeting minutes,
  • Updates and support from UF Online, Enrollment Management, and your peer community.

In late 2024 and early 2025, plan to collaborate with the UF Online team to establish an internal Sharepoint site to hold policy guidance and instructions that will help you easily access forms and information you need!

Join the Plaza if you haven’t already.
